I thought wikis were a great way to share information and communicate with borrowers I particularly liked these two:
SJCPL Subject Guides – a pathfinder wiki developed by the St. Joseph County Public Library system
oBook Lovers Wiki - developed by the Princeton Public Library
I guess the only caution is about the reliability of information.
